Thanatos (might be wrong on spelling here) was the Greek god of Death - as opposed to Hades who was the overlord of the underworld. Thanatos is little mentioned in the world of mythology but check him out... he's pretty cool.
He's also almost always pictured with his twin brother Hypnos - the God of Sleep... aww... this is actually my little bro... he's kinda sweet lol. The butterflys represtent the soul and the poppies are also symbolic of death. Wonderful... |

I have never heard of those two characters from mythology, it's too bad school doesn't go more in depth with the lesser of the Gods, many of them are more interesting than some of the higher-ups in my opinion.
